What would you do if your skin color was blue? These people chose to hide who they were their entire lives. All the while searching for someone just like them. But you see, when you wear a mask people cannot see who you really are. They walked past each other without a thought, not realizing what they were searching for was also wearing a mask.
This children's poem has a very deep meaning. It teaches you to be who you are, and not be afraid of what others think of you. Don't hide who you are, but be proud of who you are because there is only one person just like you. Maybe some people will judge you, but maybe their is someone else out there looking for someone just like you. This poem has a great message and I think would be best for children in the 4th to 7th grade range. These children are the ones who will either be in middle school, or close to entering middle school and it's important for them to be proud of who they are because middle school is a time when a lot of children feel pressure to conform to what other people think they should be.
